The Interior Innovation Award is one of the most prestigious awards of the furnishing sector world-wide and was launched in 2002 by imm cologne, which provides the idea behind the competition.

Terra Tones
Terra Tones is an innovative, ceramic tile concept developed from the Mosa Collection Terra Maestricht. Finally it’s possible to create lively and expressive ceramic walls, floors and ventilated/non-ventilated façades in the proven Mosa tile quality. Mosa succeeded to create a conscious mix of colour shades within one (Terra-)colour. The difference between the colour shades was developed so subtle, that one can speak of a naturally shaded tile surface. By using the different shades of one colour at random, a completely new appearance within the world of unglazed ceramic tiles is created.
This natural appearance of Terra Tones can be reinforced by using the colour shades in combination with different sizes. Therefore, Mosa offers new tiling patterns especially created for the Terra Tones.
The international introduction will happen in February 2011. The available sizes are 60 x 120 cm and 60 x 60 cm with planks in the sizes 5 x 60 cm, 10 x 60 cm, 15 x 60 cm and 30 x 60 cm. The colours will be light mid grey, mid grey and dark mid grey, light anthracite, anthracite, dark anthracite and light cool black, cool black and dark cool black.
The Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will take place at a ceremony on 17 January 2011 in Cologne. The companies and designers who have received the Interior Innovation Award − Best of Best 2011 will be presented with a certificate and the prize sculpture designed exclusively for the occasion. A suitable presentation of the award-winning products is under design for the exhibition during imm cologne 2011. The exhibition will feature the originals of all the winning products.
